Return and Refund Policy

 

Cancellations and modifications 

If you need to cancel or modify your order, please contact us within one hour of placing your order by emailing us at bydesignbijou@gmail.com, otherwise we may not be able to stop the order from shipping.  Orders may not be cancelled or modified once the order has entered production.

Returns

Bijou By Design offers a 30-Day Hassle-Free Returns Policy. We will refund your purchase amount minus the original and return shipping charges subject to the conditions below: If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 

We do not accept returns on customized print on demand pieces unless there is a defect in the product. Given that these are made to order we cannot resell them hence we cannot return due to change of mind or any other circumstance. 

Please note, personalized items may be subject to a deduction from the refund amount as someone cannot restock them. Shipping and insurance is non-refundable.

  • You must notify us of your intent to return within 30 days of the order date.
  • The item must be returned within 14 days from the notice of the intent to return.
  • All merchandise must be returned in new, unused and sellable condition (that means all packaging, documentation, instructions, and accessories must be returned as well).
  • Please take a few photos and send them to our support team for review, along with your order ID.
  • Our return policy also applies to cancellations made after an item has been physically shipped  and/or refusal at the time of delivery.

Refunds on Personalized Products 

Unfortunately, due to personalization being custom designed for each order, we are unable to offer refunds once the piece has entered production. We can, and will, however, replace a piece if it is found to have had a fault during the manufacturing process or has been received damaged from shipment. 

We will not refund or exchange pieces where details are entered incorrectly i.e. typos. Please make sure you are careful and check the details you enter when ordering and as a backup, on each product page we have added an extra element to avoid this as much as possible click on “PREVIEW” your design before placing the order. 

Refunds will not be given to purchases lost or damaged in shipment. Due to the product being outside of our control we will only replace lost or damaged pieces. Upon notification of product being lost we will immediately issue a replacement piece to be sent to you. 

PLEASE NOTE: PERSONALIZED items are made to order so please allow 1-5 days for production and a further 2-5 business days for shipping (USA, Europe & UK) 10-15 business days rest of the world. If we are designing you something from scratch, this may take another 2 business days depending on current demand. All orders are processed on a first come first served basis.

Damaged or Defective Items:

  • When your order arrives, please be sure to inspect all boxes right away. Make sure to notify us immediately at bydesignbijou@gmail.com. Please provide your order number, a description of the problem and photos of the defect or damage.

Received a different Item other than the one ordered:

  • Make sure to notify us immediately at bydesignbijou@gmail.com. Please provide your order number, a description of the problem and photos of the defect or damage.

Non-Refundable Items

  • Any items that are defective, or physically damaged by the end-users. We reserve the right to check the condition of the returned items before issuing a refund or credit.
  • Items that do not include all the original manufacturing packaging (packaging materials, documentation, instructions, and accessories).
  • Customized orders are non-refundable or exchangeable.
  • If an item is defective, we will replace the item.
  • Any items returned after 30 days.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards 

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. 

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. 

Refund Process

Your return will be processed as quickly as possible but may take up to 30 days. The time that it takes for a "credit" to appear on your monthly statement varies by the credit card company. Please allow one to two billing cycles for the refund to appear.

Refunds (if applicable) 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. 

When you are issued an RMA number, you should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper. However, in many cases, you will receive a refund much more rapidly (1-2 weeks). This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at bydesignbijou@gmail.com.

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. 

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at bydesignbijou@gmail.com and send us a video of the defect. 

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. 

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return. 

Shipping

To return your product, you should email us in the first instance bydesignbijou@gmail.com.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. 

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
